Baby must haves

as we are preparing for baby number 2 in march, i figured it would be helpful to put together a list of must have baby items for any first time moms struggling on what to purchase — because it truly can be overwhelming. grey is 2 now, but we were able to save almost everything or have a list of things we need to reorder. so, i am putting this together as the list of items that we have discovered we can’t live without.

this chair is a game changer - grey was so happy to bounce in here, it was a great place for him when he started to get fussy (or if i need to make a cup of coffee in the morning). plus, it folds away nicely taking up less space.

This carrier is the best i have found. it was created especially for newborns and has a flexible design that’s easy to adjust and wear.
i also love this one, but it is expensive. (my link gives you $50 off!)

muslin cloths are the perfect burp cloth or washcloth. no need to spend a ton of money on these at all.

Muslin Blankets are so pretty and are so multi-functional; they can be a blanket under the baby when he is out hanging, a larger burp cloth, and an amazing tip we received: we use it on his bath chair to avoid him from slipping out.

i loved this pump but if it is not covered by your insurance, this is a great alternative. if you opt for the medela, i recommend getting a hands free pumping bra because it makes pumping SO much easier!

this sleep machine is so easy, is perfect for the babe, and can easily be taken anywhere. we also love this one for in his room — it’s nice as he gets older as well.

this is my favorite brand for all things bath and ointments. the all over ointment is a game changer — it honestly is a miracle in a jar. (my link gets you 10% off)

if you are anything like me, your child will not be dressed in trendy clothes everyday, that is just too much to keep up with. So, these onesies are perfect and inexpensive enough that you don’t get bummed about a blowout. grey didn’t always love us putting clothes over his head, so i also ordered a few packs of these and i kept ordering them until they didn’t have his size because they are so easy!

this swaddle is so easy and was grey’s favorite once we transitioned out of the snoo (notice that is not on my must have list lol).

they may not be the most recommended, but loved our docatot. although, i do not recommend for sleeping or long periods of time. i have also heard really great things about this one.

this bath seat is so easy to use!

this diaper pail is a must!

this playmat is a must add to your registry, it was grey’s favorite. it is great for tummy time and just a cozy place to lay!

i have been loving this diaper bag, and there are so many compartments to ensure organization!

these baby bottles were a win for us, but all babies are so picky with this that it might be helpful to get a few of each brand to try before investing in a lot of one brand.

this stroller is most definitely an investment, but it makes life so much easier. bonus it can covert to a 2 person stroller when the times comes. we also got our carseat from them too and it clips right into the stroller for easy travel.

coterie diapers are nice and aesthetic of course, but these work just as well and are a fraction of the price. these wipes are the best too.

controversial and a hard habit to break but we love these and these. word of advice, you can take this away, you can’t take away a thumb.

lastly if you need to supplement or choose to go down the formula route, this is a great site with fast shipping. i have also heard great things about this brand and will try it this next time around.

please keep in mind, you do not need all of these things, they are just a nice luxury to have and save for future babies too. if you need any other recommendations feel free to reach out!
